Shradh Prarambh Moksha Tirth Combo Special Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja and Gangotri Ganga Dudh Abhishek for Peace of Ancestor's souls and Resolving Family Disputes

In Sanatan Dharma, Pitru Paksha holds special significance. This period is considered the most auspicious time for the peace of ancestors' souls. According to scriptures, during Pitru Paksha, our ancestors descend from the Pitru Lok to Earth and are pleased with the Shradh, Tarpan, and Pinddaan performed by their descendants, bestowing their blessings. Every tithi of Pitru Paksha has its own special significance, among which Pratipada Tithi is one. It is also known as Shradh Pratipada or Padwa Shradh. On this day, the Shradh of those who died on Pratipada of any month according to the Hindu calendar is performed. The period of Pitru Paksha is also considered auspicious for the removal of Pitru Dosh. According to Hindu scriptures, 'Pitru Dosh' arises due to the unfulfilled desires and negative actions of ancestors. This dosh is believed to cause financial troubles, stress and disputes in relationships, and health issues. It is believed that performing Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja and Ganga Dudh Abhishek is beneficial for liberation from Pitru Dosh and the peace of the ancestors' souls.

According to religious beliefs, performing Pitru Puja in the holy city of Kashi holds a special significance. It is said that performing Pitru Puja here brings peace to the souls of ancestors and blessings of happiness and prosperity in life. Similarly, in the sacred Gangotri Dham, Ganga Dudh Abhishek holds special importance. It is believed that worshipping Maa Ganga at the holy origin of the Ganges fulfils the devotees' desires. Therefore, on the auspicious day of Shradh Pratipada during Pitru Paksha, a Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja will be organised in Kashi and Ganga Dudh Abhishek in Gangotri Dham. Additionally, during Pitru Paksha, there is a tradition of performing acts of charity for ancestors. It is believed that offerings made during this time yield double the rewards. These offerings include Panch Bhog, lamp offerings (Deep Daan), and Ganga Aarti. By incorporating these additional options—such as Panch Bhog, Deep Daan, and Ganga Aarti—you can enhance the effectiveness of your puja and gain greater benefits. Participate in this special puja through Sri Mandir on this auspicious tithi and receive the blessings of your ancestors.

Puja Benefits

puja benefits
For the Peace of Ancestors Soul
Pitru Dosh can cause persistent troubles in people's lives. No matter how hard one tries, success seems elusive. In the Puranas, there is a provision of Ganga Aarti along with Pitru Dosh Shanti Puja for the removal of Pitru Dosh. It is believed that participating in this puja on the Shradh Pratipada tithi during Pitru Paksha in Kashi and Gangotri Dham provides peace to the souls of ancestors and receives their divine blessings.
puja benefits
For Resolving Family Disputes
Many times, there is no solid reason for family disputes in some houses, but there is always an atmosphere of tension. Pitru Dosh is also considered to be one of the reasons for troubles in the house, so it is believed that by performing Pitru Dosh Shanti Mahapuja and Ganga Aarti on Shradh Pratipada tithi at the beginning of Pitru Paksha, one gets the blessing of freedom from family disputes.
puja benefits
For Attaining a Healthy Life
Pitru Dosh can lead to physical or mental illnesses in family members. Individuals affected by Pitru Dosh often face difficulties in finding appropriate treatments for recurring health issues or chronic diseases. It is believed that performing this puja along with Ganga Aarti on the Shradh Pratipada Tithi in the city of Moksha (Kashi) grants protection from health problems.
puja benefits
Pitru Paksha Special Panch Bhog Mahadaan
During the Pitru Paksha period, the act of giving (Daan) is considered highly significant. Religious texts state that offering food to Brahmans (Brahman Bhoj) along with feeding cows, dogs, birds, and ants is considered a meritorious act, known as Panch Bali or Panch Bhog. It is believed that when these beings are fed during Pitru Paksha, the ancestors are satisfied with the food consumed by them and bestow blessings upon their descendants.

Pishach Mochan Kund and Ganga Ghat, Kashi, Gangotri Dham

Pishach Mochan Kund and Ganga Ghat, Kashi, Gangotri Dham
Ancestors find peace in Kashi, the city of salvation. It is believed that the person who takes his last breath here attains salvation, this is the reason why many people come and settle in Kashi in their last days. There is a Pishach Mochan Kund located in Kashi, about which it is believed that by performing Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja here, the unfulfilled desires of the ancestors are fulfilled and they get salvation. According to Garuda Purana, performing Shradh for ancestors at Pishach Mochan Kund has more importance. By performing Pitru Dosh Nivaran Puja here, all the debts of the ancestors are repaid and the ancestors get salvation by getting free from all obstacles.

Similarly, Gangotri Dham, situated in the holy land of Uttarakhand, holds sacred significance. Gangotri is the origin of the Ganges River, and it is believed that worshipping Maa Ganga at this site fulfills all the devotees' desires. According to ancient stories, Bhagirath performed penance here to achieve liberation for his ancestors. After his relentless efforts, Maa Ganga descended to Earth. However, the force of Maa Ganga was so intense that if she had descended directly, it would have led to the destruction of the Earth and a catastrophic flood. To prevent this, Lord Shiva contained the Ganges in his matted hair, and subsequently, Maa Ganga descended to Earth via Mount Kailash, rescuing Bhagirath's ancestors. It is believed that the stone Bhagirath meditated upon still exists at this site and is known as Bhagirath Shila. It is considered that anyone who performs puja on the Ganga Ghats in Gangotri Dham on the auspicious day of Ekadashi receives the blessings of Maa Ganga.
