According to ancient legends, after a 100-year-long war between the Devas and Asuras, Lord Kubera’s treasury was nearly drained, and even Goddess Lakshmi became devoid of wealth. Seeking help, they approached Lord Shiva, who, through Nandi, revealed the secret of Swarnakarshan Bhairav. In response, Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Kubera undertook intense penance to invite him. Pleased with their devotion, Swarnakarshan Bhairav appeared and showered gold upon them with his four hands, restoring prosperity to all the Devas. It is believed that worshiping Swarnakarshan Bhairav removes all forms of financial difficulties and hardships. Additionally, Lord Bhairav’s child form, Shri Batuk Bhairav, is also revered as a giver of wealth and prosperity. Thus, on Vasant Purnima, worshiping both Batuk Bhairav and Swarnakarshan Bhairav is believed to bring financial abundance and relief from debts.
