Bagalamukhi Jayanti Shakti-Samriddhi 5 Mahavidya Anushthan Maa Bagalamukhi, Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Shodashi, and Maa Bhuvaneshwari Shakti Samriddhi Maha Yagya For Negativity Shielding and Abundance

❓Is negativity overshadowing even your most auspicious moments? Despite sincere efforts, do solutions feel distant and burdens feel unrelenting?

🌟This Bagalamukhi Jayanti, receive divine intervention and transformation through the sacred energy of five supreme Mahavidyas — the primal forms of Adi Shakti.✨🔥

When no work seems to succeed, and even the ones that do begin to succeed fall apart at the last moment—could the reason be some negative force or energy? If yes, then it is time for you to deeply consider an effective solution. According to the scriptures, the worship of the Mahavidyas has been prescribed to nullify negativity and the attacks of enemies. A highly auspicious sign is also approaching—the sacred occasion of Bagalamukhi Jayanti. It is believed that on this day, the eighth goddess among the ten Mahavidyas, Maa Bagalamukhi, manifested in a divine form from the Haridra Sarovar to protect the universe. According to legend, in the Satyuga, when the demon named Madan unleashed chaos on Earth, Lord Vishnu sought a solution from Lord Shiva. Shiva revealed that only Adi Shakti could destroy the demon. Pleased by Lord Vishnu’s intense penance, Shri Vidya appeared in the form of Maa Bagalamukhi, destroyed the demon, protected all beings, and saved the Earth from destruction. Since then, Bagalamukhi Jayanti has been considered the most auspicious occasion for the worship and spiritual practice of Maa Bagalamukhi.

Just like Maa Bagalamukhi, Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Shodashi, and Maa Bhuvaneshwari are also considered immensely powerful manifestations of Adi Shakti, who destroy evil forces and protect their devotees. It is also believed that on the day of Bagalamukhi Jayanti, the combined worship of all these goddesses brings exceptionally auspicious results. These five Mahavidyas shield their devotees from all forms of negativity and bless them with abundance. According to the Devi Bhagavata Purana, the origin of the Mahavidyas is linked to an episode between Lord Shiva and Goddess Sati. When Lord Shiva forbade Sati from attending her father’s yajna (sacrificial ritual), she manifested ten powerful forms to surround Shiva from all four directions and stop him from leaving. These ten forms came to be known as the Das Mahavidyas (Ten Great Wisdom Goddesses), among which Maa Bagalamukhi, Maa Kali, Maa Tara, Maa Shodashi, and Maa Bhuvaneshwari are considered especially revered and worship-worthy.

Let’s understand why these Five Mahavidyas are so special:

✔️ Maa Kali – She is the embodiment of time, creation, and destruction. As the power of Lord Shiva, she annihilates all obstacles and negativity.
✔️ Maa Tara – Revered by tantric practitioners, she was first worshipped by Sage Vashishtha. She is the goddess of knowledge, liberation, and a source of support during difficult times.
✔️ Maa Shodashi – A symbol of beauty, harmony, and the supreme truth. She possesses the power to bring balance and completeness into life.
✔️ Maa Bhuvaneshwari – The presiding goddess of the cosmos. She governs the entire creation and is the nurturing force behind it.
✔️ Maa Bagalamukhi – A symbol of control, victory, and peace. She has the divine power to destroy enemies and provide protection.
On this auspicious occasion of Bagalamukhi Jayanti, you too can participate in the Pancha Mahavidya Anushthan (ritual worship of the five Mahavidyas) to eliminate the negativity within your life and receive the wondrous, divine blessings of abundance through the grace of these goddesses.

Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple, Kolkata

Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple, Kolkata
Bagalamukhi Jayanti, celebrated on Vaishakh Shukla Ashtami, symbolizes the divine presence of Maa Bagalamukhi at Haridra Sarovar and is considered the holiest day for her worship. On this powerful day, thousands of devotees engage in spiritual practices, perform yajnas, and seek divine intervention for protection and victory—especially at the sacred Kalighat Temple. Located in Kolkata, West Bengal, Kalighat Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in Hinduism and holds immense spiritual significance. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali, who is revered as the goddess of power, energy, and destruction. According to legend, this is the site where the right toe of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva performed the Tandava dance of destruction while carrying her corpse. Due to this divine event, Kalighat is considered one of the most sacred among the 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple houses a fierce idol of Goddess Kali. In this form, the goddess is depicted with her foot on Lord Shiva’s chest, wearing a garland of severed heads, holding a cleaver and other heads in her hands, and with severed heads tied around her waist. Her tongue is extended outward, with drops of blood dripping from it. Notably, her tongue is made of gold.

The current structure of the temple was constructed under the patronage of the Sabarna Roy Choudhury family and Babu Kaliprasad Datto. The construction began in 1798 and was completed in 1809. Kalighat Temple has been a major spiritual center for centuries, drawing devotees who come to fulfill their wishes. Worshipping Goddess Kali here is believed to free devotees from fear, evil forces, and negative energies, while bringing peace, prosperity, and success into their lives. Additionally, the temple is a symbol of Bengal’s cultural heritage. Major religious festivals such as Durga Puja and Kali Puja are celebrated here with immense grandeur, reflecting the deep spiritual and cultural roots of the region.
