According to the scriptures, Lord Brihaspati (Jupiter) is considered the significator of marriage and marital harmony. A favorable Brihaspati brings harmony, prosperity, and happiness into life, while an unfavorable Brihaspati can lead to conflicts, misunderstandings, and difficulties in married life. During the Mahakumbh, worshiping Lord Vishnu and Lord Brihaspati on Vijaya Ekadashi is believed to neutralize Jupiter's negative effects and bring marital bliss and an ideal life partner. The scriptures also mention that if Jupiter's position in the birth chart is unfavorable, performing 16,000 Brihaspati Mantra Jaap and a Sudarshan Havan can reduce its negative influence. The Sudarshan Havan is described in sacred texts as a powerful Vedic ritual dedicated to Lord Vishnu’s divine form, Lord Sudarshan.
