Jagadhatri Durga Shaktipeeth Kalighat Special Sarva Raksha Pradayak Chandi Havan and Jagadhatri Pujan for Fulfilment of all Desires And Protection from Adversities

Maa Durga, the embodiment of strength and compassion, is revered as a protective deity in Hinduism. She is the fierce warrior goddess who safeguards her devotees from adversities and challenges, fulfilling their deepest desires. Devotees believe that through her divine grace, they can overcome obstacles and lead a life filled with harmony and prosperity. Maa Durga symbolises the victory of good over evil, reminding us that with faith and devotion, no adversity is insurmountable. One of the most significant stories associated with Maa Durga is that of Mahishasur, a fearsome demon born to Rambha, the king of the Asuras. By performing intense penance, Rambha pleased Agni Dev, who granted him a son, Mahishasur. He had the unique ability to take on the form of a buffalo or a human at will. With his newfound powers, Mahishasur sought a boon from Lord Brahma, asking to be invincible to all gods and demons. Brahma granted his wish but specified that he could be killed only by a woman. Empowered by this boon, Mahishasur began to terrorise both heaven and earth, creating chaos and fear. The gods, unable to stop him, joined forces and prayed for help. In response to their pleas, Maa Durga emerged, embodying the collective power of all the deities. Armed with weapons and fierce determination, she fought Mahishasur for nine days and nights.

On the tenth day, she ultimately defeated him, restoring peace to the universe. This victory signifies that no matter how formidable the adversary, the protective power of the divine can triumph against all odds. Another important form of Maa Durga is Devi Jagaddhatri. The name "Jagaddhatri" comes from the Sanskrit words "Jagat" (world) and "Dhatri" (sustainer), meaning "Protector of the World." She is particularly worshipped in the Indian states of West Bengal, Odisha, and Jharkhand and is revered for her nurturing qualities and her role in safeguarding the universe from chaos. To attain blessings of protection from adversities and the fulfillment of all desires from Maa Durga, a Sarva Raksha Pradayak Chandi Havan and Jagadhatri Pujan will be organized at the revered Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple in Kolkata. This temple holds immense significance, as it is the largest temple dedicated to Maa Kali, one of the forms of Maa Durga. According to legend, when Lord Shiva was engulfed in grief after the demise of Maa Sati, he performed the Tandava dance, and during this dance, her right toe fell at this sacred location. Thus, the Kalighat Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeethas, making it a powerful site for worship and devotion.

The Kali Ghat Temple, located in Kolkata, West Bengal, is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in Hinduism and is considered a highly significant pilgrimage site. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali, revered as the deity of power, energy, and destruction. According to mythological tales, it is believed that here, the right toe of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva was carrying her burnt body and performing the Tandava dance in grief. For this reason, this place is included among the extremely sacred 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple houses an idol of Goddess Kali in a fierce form, where she is seen standing with her right foot on Lord Shiva's chest, adorned with a garland of soft skulls around his neck, holding some axes and severed heads in her hands, with some skulls tied around her waist. Her tongue is protruding outward with drops of blood dripping from it, made of gold.

The current temple was constructed under the patronage of the Saborno Roychoudhury family & Babu Kaliproshad Dutto, with construction starting in 1798 and completing in 1809. The Kali Ghat Temple holds immense religious and cultural significance. For centuries, it has been a centre of attraction for devotees who come here to fulfil their wishes. Worship of Goddess Kali at Kali Ghat liberates devotees from fear, negativity, and malevolent energies, bringing peace, prosperity, and success in life. Additionally, the temple is a symbol of Bengal's cultural heritage and hosts grand celebrations during religious festivals, especially Durga Puja and Kali Puja.
