Shardiya Navratri Panchami Special 11,000 Maa Skandamata Mool Mantra Jaap and Kavach Path Havan for Protection and Well-Being of your Children

In Sanatan Dharma, Navratri is considered a highly auspicious festival. There are four Navratris observed throughout the year, with Shardiya Navratri being the most significant. It is said that Navratri is the most sacred time to worship Maa Bhagwati Durga, and during these nine days, the nine different forms of Maa Durga are revered. The fifth day of Navratri is dedicated to Devi Skandamata, and she is worshipped on this day. Skanda is another name for Lord Kartikeya, and because Maa Durga is Kartikeya’s mother, she is also known as Skandamata. She is the embodiment of love and motherhood. According to legends, there was a demon named Tarakasura, who could only be defeated by Lord Shiva’s son. To prepare her son Skanda (Kartikeya) for battle, Maa Parvati took the form of Skandamata. After receiving battle training from her, Lord Kartikeya defeated Tarakasura. Skandamata has immense love for her son, which is why she prefers to be called by her son’s name.

The Kashi Khanda, Devi Purana, and Skanda Purana provide a grand description of this form of the Goddess. In her lap, Lord Kartikeya is seated, and therefore, by worshipping her, one is also worshipping Kartikeya. The Bhagwati Purana states that worshipping Skandamata on the fifth day of Navratri grants knowledge and auspicious outcomes. Maa showers her devotees with the same love and care she has for her own son. Her worship destroys negative forces, and merely remembering her makes the impossible possible. It is believed that by worshipping Skandamata, the Goddess herself protects children as her own and blesses them with safety and well-being. Maa grants your children a long life. It is believed that performing 11,000 Maa Skandamata Mool Mantra Jaap and Kavach Path Havan on the fifth day of Navratri ensures that Maa protects children from all negative energies and fulfils all the desires of the devotees. Therefore, on Navratri Panchami, this puja will be organised at the Shri Durga Kund Temple in Kashi. This temple of Devi Durga is one of the ancient temples. According to legends, it is said that after defeating Shumbha and Nishumbha, Maa Durga rested here. The mention of this temple is also found in the Kashi Khanda of the Skanda Purana. Participate in this puja at this temple through Sri Mandir and receive the blessings of Skandamata for the protection and well-being of your children.
