महादेव की नगरी काशी कई अलौकिक और चमत्कारी मंदिरों की नगरी है, इन्ही में से एक मंदिर है श्री प्राचीन लक्ष्मी-नारायण मंदिर। स्कंद पुराण के अनुसार काशी के इस मंदिर में भगवान विष्णु भोग ग्रहण करने के बाद शयन करते हैं, जो प्रमाणित करता है की इस मंदिर में भगवान विष्णु का नित्य वास होता है।
