Shaktipeeth Darsha Amavasya Special Shree Shree Dakshina Kalimata Amavasya Mahanisha Pujan, Stotram Path and Havan

In Hinduism, Darsha Amavasya is an important Tithi. The night of Darsha Amavasya holds great significance for the Tantric worship of Mahakali. This special day is dedicated to the fierce form of Goddess Kali. Goddess Mahakali brings light and hope into the lives of her devotees and dispels negativity and darkness. It is believed that Goddess Kali, beloved of Mahakal, appeared in her Dakshina and Vama forms, known as the ten Mahavidyas. In Hindu scriptures, Goddess Dakshina Kali is considered a fierce incarnation. There are various reasons for her being called Dakshina Kali, including the belief that Yamaraj, the god of death who resides in the southern direction, flees upon hearing the name of the goddess. Therefore, Goddess Kali is known as Dakshina Kali. This means that even the god of death, Yamaraj, stays away from the devotees of Goddess Kali. Thus, it is believed that by worshipping this form of Goddess Kali, one can receive her blessings to remove obstacles in any endeavour and fulfil their desires.

On the other hand, Saturday is dedicated to Goddess Kali. Therefore, on this auspicious day, Shree Shree Dakshina Kalimata Amavasya Mahanisha Pujan, Stotram Path and Havan will be organised at the Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple in West Bengal. According to mythological stories, it is believed that here, the right toe of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva was carrying her burnt body and performing the Tandava dance in grief. For this reason, this place is included among the sacred 51 Shaktipeeths. This temple is also known as Dakshineswar Kali Temple. It is believed that performing the Mahanisha Pujan of the Goddess on Amavasya here fulfils all the wishes of the devotees and blesses them by removing obstacles from their lives. Therefore, participate in this puja through Sri Mandir and receive the blessings of Maa Kali.

The Kali Ghat Temple, located in Kolkata, West Bengal, is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in Hinduism and is considered a highly significant pilgrimage site. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali, revered as the deity of power, energy, and destruction. According to mythological tales, it is believed that here, the right toe of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva was carrying her burnt body and performing the Tandava dance in grief. For this reason, this place is included among the extremely sacred 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple houses an idol of Goddess Kali in a fierce form, where she is seen standing with her right foot on Lord Shiva's chest, adorned with a garland of soft skulls around his neck, holding some axes and severed heads in her hands, with some skulls tied around her waist. Her tongue is protruding outward with drops of blood dripping from it, made of gold.

The current temple was constructed under the patronage of the Saborno Roychoudhury family & Babu Kaliproshad Dutto, with construction starting in 1798 and completing in 1809.
