Shradh Dwadashi Vrindavan Special Pitru Dosh Shanti, Yam Dand Mukti Puja and Yamuna Dudh Abhishek for Fulfillment of Ancestor's Unfulfilled Desires

In Sanatan Dharma, Pitru Paksha holds special significance. This period is considered the most auspicious for performing rituals dedicated to the peace of ancestors' souls. According to the scriptures, during Pitru Paksha, our ancestors descend from Pitru Lok to Earth and pleased with the Shradh, Tarpan, and Pind Daan offered by their descendants, bestow their blessings. Every tithi falling during Pitru Paksha has its own special importance, and among them is Dwadashi tithi, also known as Shradh Dwadashi. On this day, Shradh is performed for ancestors who passed away on the Dwadashi tithi of any month according to the Hindu calendar. The period of Pitru Paksha is also considered auspicious for seeking relief from Pitru Dosh and for bringing peace to ancestors. According to Hindu scriptures, Pitru Dosh occurs due to the unfulfilled desires and negative actions of ancestors. Individuals suffering from Pitru Dosh may experience financial difficulties, family disputes and stress in relationships, and ongoing health problems. It is believed that performing the Pitru Dosh Shanti Puja during Pitru Paksha can bring relief from Pitru Dosh. If Pitru Dosh Shanti Puja is performed along with Yama Dand Mukti Puja, then this ritual can be more fruitful, because through this puja, Lord Yamraj, the lord of ancestors, becomes happy and bestows his divine blessings.

According to the scriptures, worshipping Maa Yamuna also pleases Lord Yamaraj, as Maa Yamuna is the daughter of Surya Dev and the sister of Lord Yamaraj, the God of Death. According to legend, when Maa Yamuna began her flow on Earth as a river, her brother Yamaraj was appointed as the ruler of the realm of death. On this occasion, Maa Yamuna celebrated the festival of Bhai Dooj with her brother Yamaraj. During this time, Yamaraj, pleased by his sister's devotion and love, asked her to request a boon. Hearing her prayer, Yamaraj blessed her by granting that anyone who takes a holy dip in the holy waters of the Yamuna or worships with devotion on her banks would not have to see the path to Yam Lok (the realm of death). For this reason, it is believed that through the grace of Maa Yamuna, one can attain freedom from Yamaraj’s punishment. Thus, on the sacred occasion of Shradh Dwadashi Tithi during Pitru Paksha, a special Pitru Dosh Shanti, Yam Dand Mukti Puja, and Yamuna Dudh Abhishek will be conducted at Vrindavan's Vishram Ghat. Therefore, participate in this special puja through Sri Mandir and receive the blessings for the fulfillment of your ancestors' unfulfilled desires. Additionally, During Pitru Paksha, there is a tradition of performing acts of charity for ancestors. It is believed that offerings made during this time yield double the rewards. These offerings include Panch Bhog, lamp offerings (Deep Daan), and Ganga Aarti. By incorporating these additional options—such as Panch Bhog, Deep Daan, and Ganga Aarti—you can enhance the effectiveness of your puja and gain greater benefits.

Pitru Paksha Special Panch Bhog Mahadaan
During the Pitru Paksha period, the act of giving (Daan) is considered highly significant. Religious texts state that offering food to Brahmans (Brahman Bhoj) along with feeding cows, dogs, birds, and ants is considered a meritorious act, known as Panch Bali or Panch Bhog. It is believed that when these beings are fed during Pitru Paksha, the ancestors are satisfied with the food consumed by them and bestow blessings upon their descendants.

Vishram Ghat, Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh

Vishram Ghat, Vrindavan, Uttar Pradesh
Vishram Ghat is one of the major holy places of Vrindavan, which is located on the banks of river Yamuna. This Ghat holds special religious significance in Hinduism, as this ghat is located on the banks of river Yamuna and is associated with many mythological events. It is believed that Yamaraj and his sister Yamuna took a holy dip together at this holy place, which started the tradition of Bhai Dooj. Along with this, it is believed that Lord Krishna rested on this ghat after killing Kansa, due to which this ghat was named 'Vishram Ghat'.

This ghat is also considered a place of salvation and self-purification, where devotees get freedom from their sins by taking a holy dip in Yamuna. Vishram Ghat is also considered a holy place for the peace of ancestors. People come here to perform tarpan and pind Daan for their ancestors, so that they can attain salvation. It is believed that by taking a holy dip in the holy water of Yamuna river and performing tarpan, the soul of the ancestors gets peace and liberation. There is a religious belief that worshipping Maa Yamuna here liberates one from the punishment of Yamaraj. This ghat is one of the 24 important ghats of Vrindavan, and a large number of devotees come here to take a bath. Bathing in the waters of the holy Yamuna is considered a means of liberation from sins. This ghat is especially crowded during Kartik Purnima, Ganga Dussehra, and Makar Sankranti, when people earn virtue by bathing in the Yamuna.
