Jyotirlinga Shravan First Somvaar Special Omkareshwar Rudrabhishek for Fulfilment of all wishes And Financial Stability

In India, two types of Panchang (Hindu calendars) are followed. In the Panchang of North India, the month begins after the full moon (Purnima), while in the Panchang of South India, the month starts after the new moon (Amavasya). This is why there is a difference of 15 days between these two Panchangs. According to the South Indian Panchang, the holy month of Shravan begins the day after Amavasya, which falls on August 5th this year.

According to mythological beliefs, in the month of Sawan, Maa Parvati had pleased Bholenath by doing penance and got him as her husband, hence this month is very auspicious. By worshipping Lord Shiva during this time, all the wishes of his devotees are fulfilled sooner. This is the reason that as soon as the auspicious month of Sawan begins, some special offerings are made to Shiva in Shivalayas, which is called Rudrabhishek. According to the scriptures, performing Rudrabhishek in Sawan is considered extremely auspicious and beneficial as compared to other days. It is believed that any devotee who performs the abhishek of Lord Shiva with a specific desire in mind will have that wish fulfilled by the deity. By performing Rudrabhishek in Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga temple, a person gets wealth and Lord Shiva blesses him with fulfilment of all wishes and financial stability.

According to legend, Kubera, the deity of wealth, was a great devotee of Lord Shiva. Kuber performed rigorous penance here, in this Jyotirlinga to please Lord Shiva. Not only that, he also established a Shivalinga here. Lord Shiva was pleased with Kuber's devotion and made Kuber the wealthiest of the deities. Since then it is believed that the devotees who perform Rudrabhishek here are blessed with relief from financial problems in life. According to Shiv Purana, if a person is facing debt related problems and is not able to repay the EMI, then they should perform Omkareshwar Rudrabhishek on Monday in Sawan. Participate in Omkareshwar Rudrabhishek to be held at Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple on Monday in the month of Sawan through Sri Mandir and get the blessings of Bholenath.

Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh

Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple, Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh
The fourth Jyotirlinga among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva is Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, considered a Swayambhu lingam. It is located in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh on the island of Mandhata or Shivpuri in the Narmada River. Here, the Jyotirlinga exists in two forms. One is known as Mamleshwar and the other as Omkareshwar. Mamleshwar is located a little distance away on the southern bank of the Narmada from Omkareshwar. Despite being separate, they are counted as one. The pronunciation of 'Omkar' first emerged from the mouth of the creator Brahma. The recitation of the Vedas also begins with 'Om'. It is believed that the Narmada river itself flows here in the shape of 'Om'. According to scriptures, merely visiting Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga can liberate one from all sins. The glory of the Omkareshwar Kshetra is mentioned in the Skanda Purana, Shiva Purana, and Vayu Purana.

According to a mythological story, Lord Shiva comes here to rest at night after wandering through all the three worlds. It is said that this is the only temple on earth where Shiva and Parvati play the game of dice every night. After the Shayan Aarti at night, a dice board is set up here, and the Garbhgriha is closed. Surprisingly, even though no one can enter the temple at night, the dice are found scattered every day. This fact further enhances the religious significance of this temple. This is why after visiting all other pilgrimages, a visit and worship at Omkareshwar holds special importance. Pilgrims bring water from all other holy places to offer at Omkareshwar, only then are all pilgrimages considered complete; otherwise, they are considered incomplete.
