Ambubachi Mela Start Special Shaktipeeth Maa Kamakhya Tantra Maha Yagya for the fulfilment of all desires.

🛕Last puja before the Temple Closes🌸

The Maa Kamakhya tantra Maha yagya is considered an extremely powerful ritual, that serves as an effective means to quickly appease Maa Kamakhya and obtain her blessings. This ritual is performed for the fulfilment of all desires, protection from negative energies, attainment of happiness and prosperity in life, freedom from diseases, victory over enemies, and attainment of salvation. It is believed that performing this ritual on auspicious days enhances its effects manifold. This is why the Maa Kamakhya Tantra Maha Yagya will be organised when the Maa Kamakhya Temple closes before the grand Ambubachi festival. The Ambubachi Mela is celebrated in the joy of Maa Kamakhya menstruating and it lasts for three days.

It is believed that the tantric practices that are unsuccessful elsewhere in the world are fulfilled here during this time, which is why devotees come here from all over the country and world. Devotees who cannot visit Kamakhya Teerth Kshetra during the Ambubachi Festival can keep objects energised during the puja in their homes. It is believed that by keeping the energised objects obtained from the Kamakhya Teerth Kshetra, one attains blessings for happiness, prosperity, and a blissful married life, as well as experiencing positive and divine energy. On the auspicious day when the Maa Kamakhya Temple closes before the grand Ambubachi festival, the Maa Kamakhya Tantra Maha Yagya will be organised. Participate in this grand Yagya through Sri Mandir and receive Maa Kamakhya’s blessings to fulfil all your desires.

Shaktipeeth Maa Kamakhya Temple, Guwahati, Assam
Nestled in the lap of Nilachal Hills is Shri Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Temple in Assam in Northeast India. Shaktism is a branch of Hinduism that pivots around the idea of worshipping Shakti or Devi, the divine feminine power. The Kamakhya Temple is one of the 51 Shaktipeethas, especially known for the practice of Tantra. The Shaktipeethas are sacred spots where parts of the body of Goddess Sati fell during the mythological episode of Lord Shiva's Tandava following her self-immolation.

Shri Shaktipeeth Kamakhya Temple is where Her ‘Yoni’ (womb or vagina) fell. Therefore, this pilgrimage site is associated with desires, relationships, fertility and marital life. She is worshipped here in the form of a stone (supposedly her ‘Yoni) that is kept moist all the year round in the ‘Garvagriha’ or the sanctum sanctorum.

Every year, the Ambubachi Mela is celebrated here, during which the doors of the Kamakhya temple are closed and no auspicious activities take place. According to belief, during the Ambubachi Mela, Maa Kamakhya menstruates for three days, causing the water of the Brahmaputra River flowing behind the temple to turn red. Maa Kamakhya, being the Goddess of Desires, blesses her devotees with love, marital bliss, health, wealth and happiness, fulfilling all their wishes.
