Jyotirlinga Bhadrapada Tritiya Special Swarnakarshan Bhairav Mantra Jaap and Batuk Bhairav Ashtakam Stotra Path for Abundance of Wealth and Destroying Negativity

In Hinduism, the month of Bhadrapada, also known as Bhado, is considered highly significant. It is the second month of Chaturmas. According to the Puranas, this month is also deemed highly auspicious for the worship of Bhairav. Bhairav means 'protector.' Lord Bhairav is the fifth incarnation of Lord Shiva and has two main forms - Swarnakarshan Bhairav and Batuk Bhairav. Swarnakarshan Bhairav is believed to solve the financial problems of devotees and protect them from negative energies. According to the Puranas, during the war between the Devtas and the Asuras, the wealth of Devi Mahalakshmi and Kuber was used up. Worried by this, they went to Lord Shiva, and one of his forms, Swarnakarshan Bhairav, provided them with immense wealth, leading to the victory of Devtas in the war. The scriptures describe that the Swarnakarshan Bhairav Puja is performed to attract wealth and prosperity, leading to the attainment of the eight great Siddhis (spiritual powers). Worshipping Bhairav in this form blesses devotees with abundance of wealth and freedom from negativity.

It is also believed that, as Bhairav is an incarnation of Shiva, performing this Puja at a Jyotirlinga grants immense blessings. Therefore, this puja will be conducted at the fourth Jyotirlinga, Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga, which is also considered a Swayambhu Lingam. According to religious legends, Lord Shiva visits this place at night after travelling through the three worlds. It is said to be the only temple on Earth where Shiva and Parvati play Chaupar every day. Additionally, it is believed that the Narmada River flows here in the shape of the Om. In Hinduism, Tritiya tithi is regarded as highly important for acquiring blessings and prosperity. It is believed that performing any puja on this day yields multiple blessings. Thursday is also dedicated to Lord Bhairav, so the puja for Bhairav will be organised on this auspicious occasion of Thursday and Tritiya. It is believed that performing the puja of Lord Bhairav, one of Lord Shiva’s forms at Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga according to Vedic rituals on this auspicious occasion ensures special grace from Baba Bhairav for the devotees.

Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple,Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh

Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga Temple,Khandwa, Madhya Pradesh
Shri Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga is the fourth Jyotirlinga among the 12 Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva; it is considered the Swayambhu Linga. It is situated on an island named Mandhata or Shivpuri in the middle of the Narmada River in the Khandwa district of Madhya Pradesh. Jyotirlinga is present here in two forms. One is known as Mamleshwar, and the other as Omkareshwar. Mamleshwar is situated a short distance away on the southern bank of the Narmada from Omkareshwar. Despite being separate, they are counted as one. The pronunciation of 'Omkar' first emerged from the mouth of the creator, Brahma. The recitation of the Vedas also begins with 'Om'. It is believed that the Narmada river itself flows here in the shape of 'Om'. According to the scriptures, one gets freedom from all sins by just having Darshan of Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga. In the Puranas, the glory of the Omkareshwar area is mentioned in Skanda Purana, Shivpurana, and Vayupurana.

According to an ancient story, Lord Shiva comes here to rest at night after wandering through all three worlds. It is said that this is the only temple on earth where Shiva and Parvati play the game of chaupad every night. After the Shyan Aarti at night, a chaupad board is set up here, and the Garbhagriha is closed. Surprisingly, even though no one can enter the temple at night, the chaupad are found scattered every day. This fact further enhances the religious significance of this temple. This is why, after visiting all other pilgrimages, a visit and worship at Omkareshwar hold special importance. Pilgrims bring water from all other holy places to offer at Omkareshwar, only then are all pilgrimages considered complete; otherwise, they are considered incomplete.
