First Friday of 2025 Santan Lakshmi Special Santan Dosha Nivaran Santan Lakshmi Pujan, Shri Suktam Path and Shri Yantra Kumkum Archana for Blessing for Prosperity and Well-Being of your Children

🕉️Start the year with powerful blessings of Devi Santan Lakshmi. 🙏

👉Why is the Santan Lakshmi Puja on the first Friday of 2025 considered so auspicious?

According to Sanatan Dharma, Goddess Lakshmi is the one who bestows enthusiasm, courage, prosperity, and happiness in life. She is considered the deity of wealth, opulence, property, fame, and renown. Maa Lakshmi fulfills the wishes of her devotees in various forms. On Fridays, there is a tradition of worshipping Maa Lakshmi, the deity of wealth. It is believed that worshipping her on this day quickly pleases her. Therefore, on the first Friday of 2025, a special puja for Santan Lakshmi, one of the forms of Maa Lakshmi, will be organized at the Santan Lakshmi Temple in Kashi. This is the very temple where Goddess Parvati performed a puja for her children, Lord Ganesha and Kartikeya. Hence, the significance of this temple is heightened for the worship of children's well-being and prosperity.

In the Puranas, eight forms of Maa Lakshmi are described, known as Ashta Lakshmi. Among these eight forms, one is Santan Lakshmi. Santan Lakshmi is also known as Skandamata. She is depicted sitting with Skanda Kumar in her lap. She embodies love and motherhood. The Kashi Khanda, Devi Purana, and Skanda Purana provide a grand description of this form of the Goddess. It is believed that Santan Lakshmi protects devotees as a mother would her children. In this form, she lovingly cares for her children and symbolizes family and progeny. It is believed that whoever worships Santan Lakshmi receives her blessings for a virtuous child. Therefore, participating in the Santan Dosha Nivaran Santan Lakshmi Puja, Shri Suktam Path, and Shri Yantra Kumkum Archana through Sri Mandir will grant the blessings of prosperity and well-being for your children.

Santan Lakshmi Temple, Kashi, Uttar Pradesh

Santan Lakshmi Temple, Kashi, Uttar Pradesh
One of the holiest cities in India, Kashi, also known as Varanasi, is home to many temples. Among them is the Santan Lakshmi Temple, dedicated to Mata Lakshmi, where devotees believe all their wishes are fulfilled. Here, Mata Lakshmi blesses her devotees not only with wealth but also with the prosperity and well-being of their children. This temple is also mentioned in the Puranas. It is believed that in ancient times, Mata Parvati observed a 16-day fast here for the longevity of her two sons, Ganesha and Kumar Kartikeya. It is believed that when Goddess Parvati was fasting here, Goddess Lakshmi visited her and requested that she come along. However, Goddess Parvati chose not to go with her. Consequently, Mata Lakshmi decided to stay there and began worshiping as well. A few days later, Mata Kali and Devi Saraswati also arrived at this place. These two goddesses also performed a fast for the long life of Ganesha and Kartikeya.

This is why the temple houses a single idol that represents the three forms of the goddess — Lakshmi, Kali, and Saraswati and it is believed that any devotee who prays in this temple for the prosperity and well-being of their children has their wishes fulfilled by the goddess. The temple complex also features a sacred pond, believed to have been built in ancient times by Rishi Agastya himself. At this holy temple in Kashi, Maa Lakshmi fulfills the wishes of her devotees and blesses them with the happiness of children.
