Sapta Matrika Pujan Shaktipeeth 7 Brahmin Special Sapta Matrika Vaishnavi Pujan, 11,000 Chamundi Mool Mantra Jaap & Sapta Matrika Maha Havan for Attracting And Maintaining Wealth, Health, And Success

👉 Participate in the sacred Sapta Matrika Pujan, a divine ritual performed by 7 Brahmins.

The number seven holds great significance in Hinduism. The Vedas describe the universe as having seven regions, and there are seven suns (Adityas), seven sacred cities, seven sacred rivers, and seven sages (Saptarishis). This divine number reinforces the significance of the Saptamatrikas. The word Matrika means a group of mothers, and Sapta Matrika refers to the seven divine mothers: Brahmani, Vaishnavi, Maheshwari, Indrani, Kaumari, Varahi, and Chamundi. The Sapta Matrikas are revered as supreme powers of creation, preservation, destruction, and ultimate liberation. According to the Markandeya Purana, when the three worlds were terrorised by the asuras Shumbha and Nishumbha, Maa Adishakti waged a fierce battle against them. In this battle, the demon Raktabeeja led the asura army. Raktabeeja was blessed with a boon that each time a drop of his blood touched the earth, an equally strong clone of him would be born. As the battle ensued, millions of Raktabeejas emerged as his blood fell to the ground. To aid the Goddess, Brahma, Vishnu, Shiva, and other gods, who were observing the war from the heavens, sent their female Shaktis along with their respective mounts and weapons to assist her. These Shaktis, known as the Sapta Matrikas, helped Maa Adishakti slay Raktabeeja and the other demons.

Among the Sapta Matrikas, Devi Vaishnavi represents the creative energy of Lord Vishnu. Like Vishnu, she is adorned with ornaments and holds a chakra in her hand. The chakra symbolises a purified mind and her ability to destroy the ego of her devotees. On the other hand, while all other Matrikas are Shaktis of male divinities, Devi Chamundi is unique. She emerges from Devi Adishakti and represents her own energy, rather than being associated with a male deity. Unlike the other Matrikas, who resemble their male counterparts in appearance, mounts, and weapons, Chamundi is considered an independent deity. She represents the destruction of delusion, ignorance, and evil tendencies. Her terrifying powers protect her devotees, destroy enemies, and foster spiritual growth. Worshipping the Sapta Matrikas is believed to attract and sustain wealth, health, and success. Therefore, the Sapta Matrika Vaishnavi Pujan, 11,000 Chamundi Mool Mantra Jaap, and Sapta Matrika Maha Havan will be organised at the Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple. The Puja will be performed by 7 Brahmins, reflecting the auspiciousness of the number seven, just like the seven divine Sapta Matrikas.

Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple, Kolkata, West Bengal

Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple, Kolkata, West Bengal
The Kali Ghat Temple, located in Kolkata, West Bengal, is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in Hinduism and is considered a highly significant pilgrimage site. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali, revered as the deity of power, energy, and destruction. According to mythological tales, it is believed that here, the right toe of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva was carrying her burnt body and performing the Tandava dance in grief. For this reason, this place is included among the extremely sacred 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple houses an idol of Goddess Kali in a fierce form, where she is seen standing with her right foot on Lord Shiva's chest, adorned with a garland of soft skulls around his neck, holding some axes and severed heads in her hands, with some skulls tied around her waist. Her tongue is protruding outward with drops of blood dripping from it, made of gold.

The current temple was constructed under the patronage of the Saborno Roychoudhury family & Babu Kaliproshad Dutto, with construction starting in 1798 and completing in 1809. The Kali Ghat Temple holds immense religious and cultural significance. For centuries, it has been a centre of attraction for devotees who come here to fulfil their wishes. Worship of Goddess Kali at Kalighat liberates devotees from fear, negativity, and malevolent energies, bringing peace, prosperity, and success in life. Additionally, the temple is a symbol of Bengal's cultural heritage and hosts grand celebrations during religious festivals, especially Durga Puja and Kali Puja.
