Mahakumbh Purnima Triveni Sangam 21 Brahmin Special Mahalaxmi Yagya, Kumkum Archana and 1100 Kanakadhara Stotra Path For Blessings of Abundance and Prosperity

Participate in the Laxmi Mahanushthan at the Triveni Sangam on the auspicious day of Mahakumbh Purnima, performed by 21 Brahmins 🙏

In Hinduism, the Mahakumbh Mela, held once every 12 years at Prayagraj, is the most significant spiritual gathering. Prayagraj is referred to as the "Tirthraj" as it is the confluence of three rivers—Ganga, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati—representing immense spiritual energy. It is believed that any religious ritual performed during this auspicious time yields extraordinary results. Purnima that falls during the Mahakumbh is considered highly auspicious for worshipping Maa Lakshmi, as it is believed that she was born on this day. Adding to the grandeur of this event, the Shahi Snan, one of the most significant rituals of the Kumbh Mela, is also taking place on Magha Shukla Purnima, making the day even more powerful. This further enhances the positive energies of the Triveni Sangam. Performing a puja dedicated to Maa Lakshmi at this very sacred place, the Triveni Sangam, is said to bless devotees with an abundance of wealth and prosperity. Therefore, during this sacred occasion, a grand Mahalaxmi Yagya will be organized, performed by 21 Brahmins with complete Vedic rituals. The main rituals to invoke Goddess Laxmi include Kumkum Archana and the recitation of 1,100 Kanakadhara Stotra. During Kumkum Archana, offerings of rice, vermilion (kumkum), and turmeric are made to an idol of Goddess Laxmi or a Shri Yantra, invoking her blessings. This will be followed by the chanting of 1,100 Kanakadhara Stotras.

According to scriptures, the Kanakadhara Stotra was composed by Adi Guru Shankaracharya. It is said that while seeking alms, Shankaracharya once visited the home of a poor Brahmin. Seeing him, the Brahmin’s wife felt ashamed as she had nothing to offer. Tearfully, she humbly gave him the only thing she possessed—a few dried gooseberries. Seeing their plight, Shankaracharya was moved with compassion and immediately composed a stotra addressing Goddess Mahalaxmi, who bestows great wealth and prosperity. As soon as he recited the Stotra, it is said that a shower of gold rained down. The word “Kanak” means gold and “Dhara” means flow. Due to the golden rain, this stotra became famous as the Kanakadhara Stotra. Thus, on Mahakumbh Purnima, Mahalaxmi Yagya, Kumkum Archana and 1100 Kanakadhara Stotra Path will be organised at the Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj. This divine ritual will be completed with full Vedic procedures by 21 learned Brahmins. Participate in this Mahanushthan through Sri Mandir to receive the blessings of abundance and prosperity in your life.

Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh

Triveni Sangam, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh
According to Hindu scriptures, after the Devasura Sangram, during the Samudra Manthan, Lord Dhanvantari emerged holding a pot of nectar (amrit). Both the gods and demons desired immortality through the nectar and pursued it fervently. In the process, some amrit spilled from the pot and fell at four sacred places on Earth: Prayagraj, Ujjain, Haridwar, and Nashik. Every 12 years, the grand Kumbh Mela is held at these locations. Performing puja at these four Kumbh Kshetras during the Mahakumbh festival is believed to bless devotees with prosperity and spiritual growth. Among these four Kumbh Kshetras, Prayagraj holds special significance as the site of the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the invisible Saraswati rivers. Bathing at this sacred confluence is said to absolve sins and grant moksha, or liberation from the cycle of birth and death.

This spiritual importance is why millions of devotees gather at Prayagraj every 12 years for the Kumbh Mela, seeking salvation through a holy dip. According to legend, Lord Brahma performed a yagya at Prayagraj at the time of creation. This sacred act established the site as a center for religion, penance, and sadhana, earning it the title of "Tirthraj," or the king of pilgrimages. Worshipping Maa Lakshmi, who emerged during the Samudra Manthan, and Lord Vishnu, who participated in it, is considered highly auspicious during the Mahakumbh. Performing their puja at the sacred Triveni Sangam is believed to bring immense wealth and prosperity. Worshipping them on the day of Ekadashi, in particular, is said to amplify these blessings.
