First Saturday of the Year - Shani Shingnapur Special Shani Saade Sati Peeda Shanti Mahapuja, Shani Til Tel Abhishek and Mahadasha Shanti Mahapuja for Overcoming Challenges and Adversities in Life

In Sanatan Dharma, Shani Dev is considered the God of Justice, and worshiping Him on Saturdays is regarded as auspicious. It is said that Shani Dev rewards every individual according to their good and bad deeds. If Shani is in a favorable position in a person’s horoscope, they can achieve great success in life. However, if Shani is afflicted, the person may face numerous challenges. It is believed that worshiping Shani Dev on Saturdays helps reduce the adverse effects of Shani. According to astrologers, the first Saturday of the year 2025 is considered highly auspicious for worshiping Shani Dev. To mark this occasion, Sri Mandir is organizing Shani Saade Sati Peeda Shanti Mahapuja, Shani Til Tel Abhishek, and Mahadasha Shanti Mahapuja at the Shani Shingnapur Temple in Maharashtra on the first Saturday of the year.

This temple is considered the world's largest Shani temple. It is known as a "Jagrut Devasthan", meaning that Shani Dev is enshrined here in the form of a self-manifested stone idol. According to religious beliefs, worshiping Shani Dev and offering Til Tel at this ancient temple can provide relief from the effects of Shani Saade Sati. In astrology, Shani Saade Sati is often considered challenging and is divided into three phases, each lasting two and a half years. Additionally, Shani’s Mahadasha spans 19 years, during which Shani can exert both positive and negative influences based on an individual’s karma and the planetary position in their horoscope. To reduce the adverse effects of Shani, astrologers recommend performing the Shani Saade Sati Peeda Shanti Mahapuja, Shani Til Tel Abhishek, and Mahadasha Shanti Mahapuja. Participate in this special puja organized by Sri Mandir on the first Saturday of the year and receive the divine blessings of Shani Dev.

Shri Shani Temple, Shani Shingnapur , Maharashtra
The Shani Shingnapur Temple is nestled in Ahmednagar, 65 kilometres away from Shirdi. Shanidev is worshipped at this temple. The temple is believed to be a "Jagrut Devasthan", meaning that a deity still resides in the temple. According to mythological stories, about 300 years ago, a black stone was discovered near the Pansanala River. When the locals touched it with a stick, blood started oozing out of it. Later that night, Shani Dev appeared in the village head's dream, claiming it as his idol. Shani Dev had one condition that the stone shouldn't be enclosed, so the temple remains without walls or a roof to this day.

Apart from the temple, Shingnapur is a small village known for the fact that there are no doors on any house in the entire village, yet there is no theft in the village. It is believed that the village is protected by Shani Dev, and thieves cannot steal in the protected village, and anyone who attempts theft receives divine punishment. Shani Dev bestows special blessings on the devotees who worship here.
