Later, when Hanuman reached Lanka in search of Mata Sita, he freed Shani Dev from Ravana's captivity. Grateful, Shani Dev promised Hanuman that his devotees would not be affected by Shani's malefic influence. Hence, it is believed that worshipping Shani Dev along with Hanuman Ji on Saturday can provide relief from Shani Dosh. There are several remedies mentioned in the scriptures to please Shani Dev, but the chanting of mantras holds special importance.
