According to scriptures, during the Samudra Manthan, when the deadly poison Halahala emerged, Lord Shiva consumed it to protect the universe. As the poison spread through his body, Maa Tara cradled and nursed him like a mother, neutralizing its effects and soothing his pain. This act established her as the supreme nurturer and protector, dissolving negativity, fear, and suffering.
