Durga Ashtami Kali-Tara Fear Liberation Dual Shaktipeeth Special 1,08,000 Maa Kali Siddhi Mantra Jaap and 1,08,000 Maa Tara Siddhi Mantra Jaap and Yagya for Clarity, Courage, and Inner Transformation

Durga Ashtami is a sacred day dedicated to the worship of Maa Durga, the supreme embodiment of divine strength, protection, and nurturing energy. It is celebrated on the Ashtami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of every month and this day is considered highly auspicious for seeking the blessings of Maa Durga in her various forms. On this day, the Das Mahavidyas, the ten powerful manifestations of Maa Durga, are also worshipped, as each Mahavidya represents a unique aspect of the divine feminine energy. Among these, Maa Kali, the first Mahavidya, and Maa Tara, the second, hold special significance for their transformative and guiding energies. Maa Kali, known as the mystic force of inner realisation, connects devotees to their true selves by confronting inner fears and darkness. Her transformative energy fosters emotional and spiritual stability, helping release suppressed emotions, trauma, and fears while teaching self-awareness and acceptance.

Meanwhile, Maa Tara, revered as the ultimate rescuer, complements this transformation by acting as a divine guide, helping devotees overcome obstacles in career, relationships, and health, while resolving inner turmoil and offering clarity in decision-making. By harmonising Maa Kali’s strength to face adversities with Maa Tara’s guidance to navigate them, devotees gain a spiritual toolkit for overcoming obstacles and achieving balance. To harness these divine blessings, a 1,08,000 Maa Kali Siddhi Mantra Jaap and 1,08,000 Maa Tara Siddhi Mantra Jaap and Yagya will be held on Masik Durga Ashtami at the Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple and Shaktipeeth Maa Tarapith Temple. This sacred ritual offers holistic healing for mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Whether seeking resilience to confront trauma or clarity to overcome confusion, this yagya empowers devotees to embrace their true selves, find divine solutions, and achieve transformation. Therefore, participate in this powerful puja through Sri Mandir and receive the blessings of clarity, courage, and spiritual growth from Maa Kali and Maa Tara.

Shaktipeeth Kalighat Temple, Shaktipeeth Maa Tarapith Temple, Kolkata, Birbhum, West Bengal
The Kalighat Temple, located in Kolkata, West Bengal, is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas in Hinduism and is considered a highly significant pilgrimage site. This temple is dedicated to Goddess Kali, revered as the deity of power, energy, and destruction. According to mythological tales, it is believed that here, the right toe of Goddess Sati fell when Lord Shiva was carrying her burnt body and performing the Tandava dance in grief. For this reason, this place is included among the extremely sacred 51 Shakti Peethas. The temple houses an idol of Goddess Kali in a fierce form, where she is seen standing with her right foot on Lord Shiva's chest, adorned with a garland of soft skulls around his neck, holding some axes and severed heads in her hands, with some skulls tied around her waist. Her tongue is protruding outward with drops of blood dripping from it, made of gold.

It is located in West Bengal’s Birbhum district, is the revered Tarapith Temple dedicated to Maa Tara, the second of the 10 Mahavidyas. It is one of the 51 Shaktipeethas, described as being seats of divine feminine power or Shakti. Some stories purport that the divine eyeball of Sati had fallen here. Various parts of Sati's body are said to have fallen across the Indian subcontinent during Lord Shiva's Rudra Tandav (devastating dance) following Sati’s self-immolation at Daksha’s yajna where she and her husband were disrespected. The temple is a significant site for the practice of tantric rites too and Sadhak Bamakhyapa is said to have performed his sadhana here. Maa Tara is regarded as one of the principal deities in Bengal, who symbolises great power. Her devotees offer their prayers to her for prevention of disasters and protection from negative energies, hazards and accidents.
