Skanda Shashti God of War Special Shatru Samhara Trishati Homa For Blessing to Attain Victory over Enemies and Adversities in Life

According to religious scriptures, Skanda Shashti is an important festival for the Hindus as it is dedicated to Lord Skanda, the God of war and son of Shiva and Parvati. Lord Skanda is known by several names including Murugan, Kartikeyan, and Subramanya. The festival is observed on the Sashti Tithi of Shukla Paksha every month. It is believed that worshipping Lord Kartikeya on this blesses devotees with all their wishes. Lord Kartikeya holds special reverence among Tamil Hindus and is considered the younger brother of Lord Ganesha in south India, while in north India he is said to be the elder brother of Ganesh. Lord Kartikeya was born with the sole purpose of destroying the enemies of the gods, which is why he is worshipped for the destruction of enemies. The story of his birth is very intriguing. A demon named Tarakasura had performed intense penance to Lord Shiva and was granted a boon that only Shiva's son could kill him. After receiving this boon, Tarakasura began to wreak havoc across the three worlds. Distressed by this, all the gods sought refuge with Lord Vishnu, who then revealed the secret of Tarakasura's death, and subsequently, Lord Kartikeya slew him. Since then, Kartikeya has been known as the god of war. According to scriptures, the six-headed Lord Kartikeya represents the six siddhis, and as the bestower of siddhis, Kartikeya is primarily worshipped in Tamil Nadu.

According to legends, Kartikeya is considered the deity of the southern direction because, upset with his parents, he came to live in South India on Earth. According to the scriptures, one of the special rituals dedicated to Lord Kartikeya is the Shatru Samhara Trishati Homa. Shatru Samhara Trishati means 'destruction of enemies.' The Shatru Samhara Trishati Homa is a powerful ritual that removes unexpected struggles from your life and protects you from the threat of enemies. It is believed that this homa is highly effective for destroying enemies and becoming victorious in all aspects of life. This ritual acts as a protective shield, creating a barrier against unseen forces and ensuring spiritual well-being. The significance of this Homa increases even more when performed on the auspicious day of Skanda Shashti. Performing this ritual also removes obstacles from the devotee's life, and they receive the blessings of victory from Lord Kartikeya. Therefore, Shatru Samhara Trishati Homa will be conducted on the auspicious day of Skanda Shasthi at the Etteluthuperumal Temple in Tirunelveli. Participate in this special Homa through Sri Mandir and receive the blessings of Lord Kartikeya.
