Following Brihaspati's advice, Lord Vishnu created the Sri Yantra and performed its worship. By the end of the worship, Maa Lakshmi had no choice but to appear, saying, "I was determined not to return under any circumstances, but due to Brihaspati's wisdom, I had to come. The Sri Yantra is my foundation, and my soul resides within it." Performing the Sri Yantra Shodashopachara Puja is said to bring the blessings of happiness, prosperity, fortune, and wealth from Maa Lakshmi. According to the scriptures, the most effective way to please any deity is through the Shodashopachara Puja. In Sanskrit, this traditional 16-step ritual is called Shodashopachara Puja. Additionally, performing the Durga Suktam and Durga Ashtakshara Havan along with the Sri Yantra Shodashopachara Puja is believed to bring the blessings of Maa Durga. The Durga Suktam is dedicated to Maa Durga and is said to protect devotees from all obstacles and adversities in life. The Durga Ashtakshara Havan is a sacred fire ritual during which a mantra consisting of eight syllables (hence the name "Ashta" meaning eight and "Akshara" meaning syllables) is chanted in devotion to Maa Durga. It is believed that performing the Durga Ashtakshara Havan during Navratri blesses devotees with protection from negative energies. Therefore, on Navratri Saptami, the Sri Yantra Shodashopachara Puja, Durga Suktam, and Durga Ashtakshara Havan will be organised at the Shri Durga Kund Temple, Kashi.
