In Sanatan Dharma, Nishit Kaal—the time between 12 AM and 3 AM—is considered the most powerful period for spiritual and Tantric practices, as divine energies are believed to be easily pleased during this time, fulfilling the wishes of the seeker. For this reason, this special ritual is being conducted during the auspicious Nishit Kaal Muhurat.
According to the scriptures, the Moon governs the mind and emotions, while Shani (Saturn) controls human karma. This makes Shani and Chandra highly significant in Vedic astrology. As per astrology, when Shani and Chandra are positioned together in a person’s horoscope, they form a conjunction known as Vish Yoga. Individuals with Vish Yoga in their horoscope often face mental stress, relationship challenges, financial struggles, and negativity. Astrologers recommend that to alleviate the effects of Vish Yoga, one should chant the Shani Mool Mantra and Chandra Mool Mantra and perform a Havan (sacred fire ritual).
