Durga Ashtami Chandi Mahayagya Special 1,25,000 Navarna Mantra Jaap, Durga Saptashati and Nav Chandi Mahayagya for Blessings of Success and Fulfilment of Desires

In Hinduism, every month on the Shukla Ashtami tithi, Durga Ashtami is celebrated. This day is dedicated to Maa Durga and her nine forms, and it is believed that worshipping her on this day fulfils all desires. According to legends, an asura named Mahishasura was granted immortality by Lord Brahma, which led him to attack the three worlds and defeat the deities. In response, all the gods sought help from Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva, and Lord Brahma. It was prophesied that only a woman could defeat Mahishasura. Therefore, the Trimurti created Maa Durga from their divine powers. A fierce battle ensued between Maa Durga and Mahishasura for nine days. During this time, Mahishasura took on many forms to confuse Maa Durga, but ultimately, when he transformed into a buffalo, Maa Durga seized the opportunity and slayed him with her trident, restoring peace to the three worlds. For this reason, devotees perform various rituals to please Maa Durga and her nine forms during Durga Ashtami, one of which is the Navarna Mantra. The term "Navarna" is derived from the combination of "Nava" and "Arna," which literally means "nine letters."

In the scriptures, the mantra “Om Aim Hrim Klim Chamundaye Vichche” is referred to as the Navarna Mantra. Each letter of this mantra is directly related to the powers of Maa Durga’s nine forms. The first letter "Aim" is associated with Maa Shailputri. The second letter "Hrim" is governed by Maa Brahmacharini. The third letter "Klim" is linked to Maa Chandraghanta. The fourth letter "Cha" relates to Maa Kushmanda. The fifth letter "Mum" impacts Maa Skandamata. The sixth letter "Da" is connected with Maa Katyayani. The seventh letter "Yai" pertains to Maa Kalratri, and the eighth letter "Vi" represents Maa Mahagauri. The ninth letter "Chai" is associated with Maa Siddhidatri. For this reason, the chanting of the Navarna Mantra is considered one of the most powerful practices during the auspicious occasion of Durga Ashtami, as it is dedicated to Maa Durga's nine forms. It is believed that reciting the Navarna Mantra during Durga Ashtami brings divine blessings from Maa Durga, enabling individuals to achieve success in any field. If the chanting of the Navarna Mantra is accompanied by the Durga Saptashati and Nav Chandi Mahayagya, it can be immensely fruitful and significantly beneficial. It is said that reciting the Durga Saptashati generates a divine energy that dispels all negative forces and grants blessings from Goddess Durga for the fulfilment of wishes. Therefore, 1,25,000 Navarna Mantra Jaap, Durga Saptashati and Nav Chandi Mahayagya will be organised at the famous Shri Durga Kund Temple in Kashi. This ritual will be conducted by eight Brahmins. Participate in this divine ceremony through Sri Mandir and receive the blessings of Maa Durga for success and the fulfilment of your desires.
