Goddess Shodashi, also known as Tripura Sundari, Balapanchadashi, and Rajarajeshwari, is revered for her beauty, wisdom, love, and prosperity. Religious texts state, "There is no difference between devotees who seek the shelter of Goddess Shodashi and the divine itself."
She is worshiped in the form of the Shri Yantra, which embodies divine grace and supreme power. Worshiping her is believed to bring family harmony, virility, and control over the senses.
According to a legend, Parvati Ji once asked Lord Shiva for a path to liberation from suffering, including the pain of pregnancy and death. In response, Lord Shiva revealed the powerful Shri Vidya Sadhana dedicated to Goddess Shodashi.
Adi Guru Shankaracharya worshiped Goddess Shodashi in the form of Shri Vidya, which is why, even today, she is worshiped in the form of Shri Yantra or Shri Chakra. This sadhana strengthens control over the body, mind, and emotions and is performed for family happiness and finding a suitable life partner.
The recitation of Lalita Sahasranama is considered highly auspicious for invoking the blessings of Maa Tripura Sundari. According to scriptures, Lord Shiva first narrated this hymn to Kartikeya, and many sages have attained spiritual accomplishments through its chanting.
