Dhanteras Dhanlakshmi Pradosh Kaal Special Dhanlakshmi Sahasranama Archana and Lakshmi Narayan Puja for Blessing of Abundance of Wealth and Relief from Debt

The festival of Dhanteras is considered a symbol of wealth and prosperity in Sanatan Dharma. This festival is celebrated on the thirteenth day of the Krishna Paksha in the Kartik month. Dhanteras is also known as Dhan Trayodashi, as on this day, during the Samudra Manthan (churning of the ocean), Lord Dhanvantari emerged with the pot of Amrit (nectar). According to various regions and scriptures, it is also believed that on this day, Goddess Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth, emerged from the ocean during the churning. This is why this day is considered extremely significant for the worship of Goddess Lakshmi, who is the goddess of wealth, prosperity, and happiness. It is believed that worshipping Goddess Lakshmi on this day ensures that devotees never face a shortage of wealth and abundance. According to the scriptures, Lakshmi Puja on Dhanteras should be performed during the Pradosh Kaal, which begins after sunset and lasts for approximately 2 hours and 24 minutes. This year, the auspicious time for this puja will be from 6:06 PM to 8:37 PM. The scriptures say that it is highly auspicious to worship Lakshmi during the Pradosh Kaal, as stated: "Pradoshe Pujyate Lakshmim" (Lakshmi should be worshipped during Pradosh). This day presents a very special opportunity to please Goddess Lakshmi, and devotees perform several rituals, including Dhanlakshmi Sahasranama Archana and Lakshmi Narayan Puja.

In Dhanlakshmi Sahasranama Archana, the 1,000 names of Goddess Lakshmi are recited and she is worshipped. Each name describes different forms and qualities of Goddess Lakshmi, through which her grace and blessings can be received. This brings growth in wealth, prosperity, and abundance in the family, along with relief from debts and financial problems. On this auspicious day, performing Lakshmi Narayan Puja is also considered highly auspicious. Hence, along with Dhanlakshmi Sahasranama, Lakshmi Narayan Puja will be organised, which brings wealth, prosperity, and peace into one's life. It is believed that worshipping Goddess Lakshmi along with her consort Lord Vishnu, the preserver of the universe, ensures balance and prosperity in life. Performing Lakshmi Narayan Puja brings happiness, unity, and peace to the family. Additionally, this puja is regarded not only as a symbol of material wealth but also of spiritual prosperity. On Dhanteras, during the auspicious Pradosh Kaal, this special puja will be held at the Etteluthuperumal Temple in Tirunelveli, where devotees can receive the combined blessings of Goddess Lakshmi and Lord Vishnu through their worship. By participating in this puja, devotees are blessed with wealth, abundance, and happiness in their lives.
