In Kashi, the city of Lord Shiva, Shri Brihaspati Temple holds a special place. According to Kashi Khand, there is an interesting story involving Mars (Mangal), Saturn (Shani), and Jupiter (Guru). Sage Angiras performed the worship of Lord Shiva here, and in return for his devotion, Shiva bestowed upon him the most special position among the celestial bodies, naming him Brihaspati or Guru. Since then, Lord Shiva resides in this temple in the form of Brihaspati.

Situated on the Dashashwamedh Ghat in the heavenly city of Kashi, this temple conducts Rudrabhishek and Guru Shanti Yajnas to fulfil the desires of devotees.
