The head portion of Swarbhanu became Rahu, and the tail portion became Ketu. Hence, this site holds immense spiritual significance in Rahu worship. Worshiping Lord Shiva is believed to alleviate Kaal Sarp Dosh, as this dosh is caused by Rahu and Ketu—both of whom are devoted to Him.
